The No Child Left Behind law has been moderately successful. I believe it was a well-intentioned law in its premise. To improve this law it is very important that the government continues to properly fund and adjust the funds accordingly.

Fair Trade

I would only support trade agreements that are favorable to the United States, and its labor force. Fair trade agreements need to create a level competition as it pertains to businesses and as it pertains to the workers.

Congress

I do not believe Congress should have the authority to spend without transparency and review. I do not believe “earmark” spending should absolutely be prohibited, but certainly it should be subject to review and explanation to the people.

Future

I do not believe that the U.S. is heading in the right direction. Globally the United States does not enjoy the reputation it once did, economically we are on the verge of a recession, and have historic deficit levels, due to trade imbalances and a weakening of the dollar.
